Questionnaire Results

By looking at the results from my questionnaire, the majority of individuals who answered the questions shown that they had an interest in guitars or Rock music. I identified that the majority of artists that were popular within the results were mainly male musicians (this gave me the idea for my front cover "Women in Music", because of this i made the main focus within my magazine to be female musicians within the "guitar" or "rock" music industry.

The results also show that the images audiences think would be suitable for the front cover of a magazine are images of the artists entailed inside, or images of the instrument used within the genre of music in the magazine. This led me to use the image of a guitar as the background of my front cover, as well as using the image of a female musician.

It was obvious from the results that the audience believe that information about music events are useful within a magazine, and that they have an influence on the purchasing of the magazine. I also discovered that the articles the audience would like to see within a magazine would be interviews with particular music artists, biographies of the artists involved and finally past events or album releases.

The results shown that when the audience sees a double page spread, they would expect to see interviews with the artists, this was a common result as the audience must find the interviews with particular musicians enjoyable.
