This is one of the many pictures i took for ideas of imagery for my music magazine. I took a picture of a guitar with an active background to make the image seem interesting and attractive. As the magazine is focused mainly on guitars i thought this picture would be appropriate.

This is the same image as above, although i edited the image in Xara in order to change the shape. This made it easier to try and think of ideas of how to involve this image within my magazine, as i believed that just a single image of an attractive guitar would be more suitable for the front cover.

Above are my experimentation of Mastheads for the front cover of my magazine. As i decided the title would be "Strings" i experimented with different font's and colours in order to create a title that seems suitable for this magazine's purpose.

Above is an example of the masthead's i created within Xara. I preferred this masthead to the others that i created, although i later created a different masthead that i thought was more attractive and eye-catching for the audience.

This is an image i took of a guitar, i used this image for my front cover, after cutting the guitar out of the image so it is seperated. I edited the image of the guitar to make the colours more vibrant, this was effective.

This was a second image i took of a guitar that i was thinking about using for my magazine. I decided that this guitar seems too simplistic compared to the other images i took of guitars, however the image is still attractive. I think for the main focus of my magazine, this image seems too subtle, therefore i used a different image with an Electric guitar to give the audience the "Rock" magazine effect.
This image i found attractive as the colours of the guitar stand out. As the guitar is not fully one colour, it allowed me to use an image similiar to this of the same guitar, and use the contrasting colours for a good effect on my front cover.
