Testing Images with Photoshop

I used photoshop to edit images that could influence ideas for my music magazine. I used this image of a guitar to test with colours to make the image more effective.  The larger image below is my edited image, the smaller image underneath that is the original image.

I think by adding bright colours to sections of the image contrasting with the dark colours it really attracts the viewers attention as it is bright and obvious. An interesting design or image on the sections of the guitar would be a good idea, possibly of a famous musical artist.
